Pool Guidelines

Last updated on February 23rd, 2023

Braid is committed to building a safe place to pool money. We appreciate your help in keeping our system safe and secure for all members. All pools need to follow the guidelines below:

  • Braid is built on trust. As a pool admin, you have a responsibility to the rest of your members and contributors. If there are tools that would make pooling, collecting and spending money together, please let us know. We celebrate treasurers of all kinds.
  • Understand that trust goes both ways. Pools are for family, friends, communities and collaborators. Make sure you trust the creator of the pool, and understand what your contribution will be funding.
  • Don't impersonate a person or organization. Any pool that is found to be impersonating a person or organization will be taken down.
  • Final decisions are made at our discretion. Our goal is to keep the Braid ecosystem and your money safe. Payments is a highly regulated market and we must ensure we are complying with local, state and federal law, along with the policies of our financial and technology partners.
  • There are so many ways to use Braid, and we celebrate that diversity. However, you cannot start a pool for anything on our Prohibited Pools list. View the list here.
