Not only is Braid free to use, it’s quick and simple to install. And we provide support M-F during business hours. Download the app, set up your account and join your pool. It’s that easy!
2. Contributing money is easy
Whether you’d like to contribute to your pool from your bank account, your debit or credit card or direct deposit, we’ve got you covered. We also have an extensive Help Guide whenever you need it.
3. Pool your money and spend it, all in one place
No need to shuffle money around to different accounts. Instead, you and other pool members can contribute directly to your pool and spend with your Braid debit card. Not only do we offer digital debit cards, but each member of the pool can order their own physical debit card to spend directly from the pool.
4. Everything's better together
Braid is built with groups in mind. See when someone else contributes and chat within your pool. It’s nice to know that everyone can be a part of the action.
5. Keep it simple, or go deep into Braid’s offerings
There are so many ways you can pool. Let’s say you were invited to use Braid for your local charity fundraiser. Not only can you join your charity pool, but you can have as many pools as you’d like. Maybe you’d like to make a family vacation pool and invite entirely different people to it. Each pool is entirely customizable. Here are some great examples of some of our most popular types of pools: Class Reunions, Vacations, Nanny Expenses, Membership Dues, Weddings, Group Gifts, Classrooms, and Splitting Rent.
Now that we’ve peaked your interest, let’s get some basics out of the way, including what Braid is, what a money pool is and how to join a Braid Pool.
What is Braid?
Braid is the best place to pool money—separate from your personal accounts. We’re determined to make your life easier when it comes to managing shared expenses.
We all share money daily, typically with multiple people, if not groups of people. Sometimes it’s for a group gift for your cousin, sometimes it’s for a running club, sometimes it’s for expenses you share with your roommates, sometimes it’s for a large dinner date, and sometimes it’s to fund your classroom’s supplies. You get the point. We share money A LOT.
The problem is, although sharing money has existed since the beginning of currency, it has not changed all that much. Yes, we have online banking and many person-to-person payment apps, but none that allow you to collect, manage and spend money all in one place. Until now, it’s been piecemealed together. That is, until Braid Pools.
So, what is a Braid Pool?
A Braid Pool is a money pool where you can collect, manage send, and spend money. It’s like a joint account for people you don’t necessarily want a joint account with, but need to share money with.
